Ingredients:
- 1 beef tongue from HM Cattle Company
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 onions, diced
- 2 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- Corn tortillas
- Chopped fresh cilantro
- Chopped white onion
- Lime wedges
Directions:
- Rinse the beef tongue and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Rub the salt and black pepper all over the beef tongue.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Sear the beef tongue on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Add the bay leaves, garlic, onions, and water to the pot with the beef tongue.
