Willow Hill Soap Company is owned by Ben and Alison McDowell and is located in Asheville, North Carolina. Alison’s mother started making soaps and selling them under the name “Carolina Lily Naturals,” and the company grew from there. Ben and Alison still use her mother’s soap recipe today as well as her standards for using quality natural ingredients in their other products. When they took over the company, Ben and Alison decided to rebrand it “Willow Hill.” The name honors Ben’s childhood memories of visiting his great-grandfather’s property that included a farmhouse on a hill and a big willow tree that provided his family with much needed shade on hot summer days.
We love and use our products ourselves, as do our children, so making safe and effective soaps and lotions is our number one priority. Our products are paraben, phthalate, and sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) free. We call our bath and body products “handcrafted” because every carefully-sourced ingredient is hand-measured and hand-poured to ensure that everything we sell has small batch quality.
Like the shade tree on Ben’s family property, Willow Hill Soap Company protects the consumer from harmful ingredients. In a crowded and confusing marketplace, Willow Hill Soap Company offers clarity by using consciously crafted ingredients to make high quality products that nourish, protect, and enhance your skin. Our customers are as important to us as our family which is why we scrutinize the ingredients and production of the things we sell, no matter the cost.
